Well Thanks Fred! I love to draw just wish I could come up with some new stuff. I'm learning more every day and I have seen some of our people come out with some new stuff for Z, I just hope it keeps up. There are a lot of fantastic people here with great knowledge of our Scale that we could learn for the future of trainz. Times are ruff now and I understand that. But when working with our scale it takes some of the edge off of stress because you have to really be into it to make things work! Time is all we have!

Hang in there Walt. You have made some amazing stuff in Z! Hopefully more modelers will become more active.

I think it might be a seasonal thing, lots of places on the internet running slow in February, so not to worry, I think Z has never been nor had it better

I think a number of modelers have been hit by real world duties. We have been gaining new people in Z scale, many of them from other scales who are brining their skills with them. 3D printing and lasers seem to be the growth area in Z scale modeling.

Well! Where are all the great Z scaler at, it seem they have lost interest in Z. There has to be something new out there! it seem there are some people making things in our scale or has everyone moved to a different Scale? I though this was a great hobby to be in.

Fred, Tried the Mirror effect in front of my PC screen with a water background. Well it just didn't turn out right!

Most mirrors have the silver- reflective part- UNDER the glass- I guess for protection. Is there a top surface reflective mirror and where might one obtain such fine optical material, other than on Hubble. :O)

I agree with Ranier, Pete.  I do not purchase much, but in the half dozen times I have never been charged VAT.

And I want to wish everyone a Safe and Happy New Year's!  John

Hi I like to ask question about custom fee and VAT for sending Märklin stuff to US

Friday, 26 December 2014 13:20

Hi Pete,

I am not sure what you are asking. If you want to know if US customs has a fee for importing Maerklin or other items into the USA, I can tell you that I haven't been charged any customs fees yet and I have been buying items from many different people in Europe as well as other countries for about 10 years. I have had to pay the VAT (19%) for new items I purchased from several German vendors.

Hope that helps.

Best regards/Mit freundliche Gruessen,

Rainer W.

I was right, Stony: I'm habitually looking for the ZCS login/logout button on the upper right corner.  I'll learn some *year*.
