It has been many, many years since I last put together a model. At that time I can remember going to my local hobby store any seeing a full array of Testors model paints covering the rainbow. As I am sure things have evolved from that time, I was wonder if any of you would care to share your preference on paint suppliers.
More specifically I want to begin to assemble some of my kits and would like to augment them with some additional color and weathering before final assembly. Any suggestions / hints / tricks would be appreciated.

I use Polly Scale and Floquil, no preference. Both works good, just a matter of taste (or better smell). Weathering, that's a long stort to tell, Iwould suggest to get Tom Mann's book, in my opinion the best guide around.

I used either Floquil or Testors before, but I like to acrylic paints. It makes the clesn up much easier, and it doesn't stink up the place. Sometimes, the color you want only is only available in Floquil, then you dont have a choice.

Where do you get Tom Mann's book? I am about to paint my bridge, and am considering weathering it.
