Grassinator Update:
www.ztrains.com/pages/tech/grassinator/grassinator.html

I recently updated this page on my site as some of the components were in short supply from the vendors I had listed. After snapping some new photos and reformatting some images... yesterday (Friday, March 6) I finished the Grassinator update with the new components.

Of course as luck would have it, Electronic Goldmine is now out of stock on the negative ion generators! I've put in a few emails to them asking if they will be restocking these ion generators but have not yet heard back from them.

The Grassinator is a dandy little device and if I hear any news about the availability of the negative ion generators, I'll post back.

I have all of the parts to make one of these, except for one: I need to get a round tuit...

I've got several current projects that could use the same part.

Me too. On the other hand I could not find a listing at the Shed place for the 100mA power thingy. Cheers, Jim CCRR:(

If you click on the Surplus Shed link at the bottom of the Grassinator page a new window opens directly to the 12VDC adapter page.

Alternately you can look it up by the part number listed in the "Parts List" table on the Grassinator page.

John, My bad. I'm so dumb when it comes to electrical stuff it's embarassing. I didn't read the small print underneath. I did realize what I was looking for. It's all good now. Thank, Jim CCRR:S

Hi Jim,

No problem... as long as you got the info that's all that matters. I am hoping that more of the negative ion generators become available at some point. I've received several emails from folks looking to build this unit but now cannot due to the ion generator shortage. There was a large N scale club that wanted to build a bunch of them, one for every club member, but now of course they're stuck.

If these generators do again become available... snap them up!

In Europe we say : "Catch you a fly"
Unfortunatly Gold Mine is not exporting, but the very cheap (about 5$) alternate
is an electronic fly catcher, and it takes 10 minutes to make it.
