The City of Austin bought 162 miles of track from the Southern Pacific, in 1966. Capitol Metro provides commuter services on 32 miles between Leander and Austin. This photo was taken several miles to the East and it's obvious that Capitol Metro is not maintaining it.
My eyes hurt when I look at this photo.
