Fred,

I like the picture of the kittens with that modern Chessie steam engine that never ran, will sort of. They had problems with the coal feeding system. Anyway, maybe when AZL finished modeling WESTERN steam engines, they would consider the Chessie engine.

Fred,

Those pics were amazing. I had a feeling it was related to Chessie, sorry, I should have tried harder. I was really touched by the one with the father in his uniform and the two leaning towards him. Good one on you man. :)

For all those not familiar with Eastern US railroads- All this talk of kittens may be off putting. But the sleeping cat has been a well known logo in the Mid Atlantic for many many years. Recentlt it has been incorperated in the "C" of the Chessie system.

Fred, I remember seeing those kitties before but was too young (snicker snicker) to know what they for. They are fantastic, you have a lifetime full of memorabilia. The Chessie was my all time favorite when I was growing it. The mule reminded me of Iron Man, too bad they had problems with them. I assume the CO was Chesapeake and Ohio Railroad.

be cool to see a C97 flying over that thing.. Your C-5 is nice..but the old bare metal Airforce had some some color and style back when that engine was on the track.

Kelly,

I don't want to get into airplanes on a train site, but have you ever see the FORD TRI MOTOR?
There was a engine on both wings and the third on the nose of the aircraft.

Now back to trains.

Robert, I know what it looks like, but I like the Junkers tri-motor better. They flew it in Where the Eagles Dare. Now, thats a great war movie.

Hi Everyone.

Unfortunately my computer access has been reduced, so it would be great if someone could take over with a new question in my place. My participation will be minimal for awhile until I can get internet and a new computer at home.

Keep the Z faith,

Yes Fred, it is the B unit. Yes it is the iron ore train and usually runs with 150 to 250 cars. Who owns the train, it is the QNS&L railroad and where is it going? It is a lovely place up here in no man's land.

Fred,

Man I was going to answer, Quebec, North Shore, & Labrador, looks like the old paint scheme. That back engine looks like a F45, if it is a B unit, its big.

Good job Fred, train runs to Sept-Iles several times a day. I live about 700km due north of where you were. It is absolutely beautiful here, must be 10,000 lakes and the fishing is great. Now that you figured it out, it is your turn. Congrats, I get to shed another 50 points. :)
