Southern Pacific SD70M was created by Gerd
Hi all,
here now a photo of my "nightmare" project. Lot of things went wrong, but I'm are not talking about this anymore....;) At the end I'm quiet happy with the end result, as Robert Ray says, weathering can patch a lot of mistakes....
I did following things to the engine:
- BLMA and custom made stirups
- New windscreen with 2 wipers (BLMA) only
- Removed numberboard at the back
- Antenna
- MU Hoses (BLMA)
- Cut leaver (BLMA)
- Electric cabel
- Tank details
- Moved front lights from body to above driver's cab
- custom paint job
- selfmade decals

Gerd, I hardly know one diesel from another, but I know a good job when I see one. Great work! Cheers, Jim CCRR:cheer:

works fine for me,
it is an imageshack stored picture so there may have been temporary server problem?

Very Nice Gerd!!!!

I just got my SP SD70 back from the paint shop a week ago, but mine is still clean..

Your's looks right on for the later years of these babys once they got some SP grime on them. Great details, especially the diesel fill on the tank with the spilled fuel and grime...

Very Nice indeed.

AZL has new road names for the SD70 scheduled for "Q2 2010". Does anyone have an update here?

AZL is getting closer to their announced locomotive releases. I don't have news on the next releases of the SD70s. The RDCs will be coming first.
