Ztrains is happy to present our newest Z Scale Basics article titled Mixing Track.

In this article we show you our technique for quickly combining MTL Micro-TrackĀ® with Marklin sectional track. It's a simple process and we've photographed the steps for you in detail.

Nice article John.

Is the next installment on making the ballast look right when making the transition?

Also, for sources of W/D sandpaper: you can get really fine grits (I've found up to 1500 at NAPA and heard of 3000) at your local auto parts store in the paint and body section. But for 400-600 a local hardware store should have that on hand.

Micro Mark used to have some 1500G on flexible foam pads.

Now I get most of my hardware stuff here

Lee Valley rocks! In the wood working community Lee Valley is very highly respected. Their customer service has an excellent reputation. I always hope for something from Lee Valley for Christmas.
