I just stumbled across this collection of photographs:

There are some very interesting photos there for people modelling the early 40's era.

Great photos, Stony.

I have to agree with Alex that most of us have plenty to be grateful for. Don't forget that there are a lot of people in the world with faces a lot like those in the photos. They're of different races and in different places, but they still have the same hard-scrabble lives.
