Hi Everybody!!

I picked up my copy of the new "Walthers 2010 N&Z Reference Book" at Trainfest last weekend. There are 7 photos in it of the Z scale modules of Bob Hargis of this group. These photos help showcase Z scale. The photos are on pages; 271, 277, 282, 285, 287, 319, and 383. The last 2 photos are on the opening pages of the "Z-scale" section and "Adhesives" section respectively.

Congratulations Bob!!!

I can't understand why there are no comments on this. I think its fantastic that one of our own has gotten pictures....and great pictures to boot.....in a national catalogue and no one here seems interested. I think its a big boost for Z!!! Any one else have an opinion????

I think it is wonderful that Z is getting more exposure but, for it to take so long though is a bit disheartening.

Actually, I was waiting to see when some comments would come in on this topic. I guess no one here knows B. Hargis, I don't. But Ellen is correct, whether B Hargis is a member here or not his photos should have been acknowledged. I'm sure not to many of us spring for the N/Z catalog very often either. Congrats, B. Hargis who ever you are. Cheers, Jim CCRR:S

So what about to post a few pictures on this forum? I'm not going to buy the catalog, but like to see the photos, and learn more about the progress of Z-scale "moduling".

I'm glad to see that Z has more exposure on the national scene. I was reserving comment until I could see the pictures, unfortunately my work has kept me from the "Happiest Place On Earth" (the LHS).
Pictures posted here would be a great idea, anyone up for the task?

I have to say "ditto" with most of the other comments here. Yes... it is great Z has been recognized. But, without seeing the actual photos... I reserve any comments about what I have not and cannot see. :S I will not buy the Walthers' catalog... no need for it. Plus, I have never placed an order for anything from Walthers and most probably never will.

Congratulations Mr. Hargis... whomever you are.

Pictures????

Well................since the catalog is copyright protected and I'm not the author....you'll just have to get the catalog.

Thom and Ellen, Thanks for the kudos. Hi folks. My name is Bob Hargis and I post as Bobdocker. I have met some of you in the chat room before. I haven't posted pictures or text here in awhile. I'll see if I can fix that. I have had trouble with pixel sizing in the past here.

I would like to get out and meet with Z'ers outside of the St. Louis area. Unfortunately, my employment hasn't permitted that. In 2008 I took my layout to to a show in Dallas Fort Worth to run with the Z'ers there but they had to cancel. Bummer. The other scales were impressed though.
I have 6 ZMOD modules(14' x 4' ) and I'm currently working on a conversion module to link with Zbend.

Finally made it to the LHS today and was able to thumb through the new Walthers catalog. It was nice to see Z represented by some great photos. Thanks for your work Bob.
