Ok, Z Modelers November 1st is here. Let's offically kick in the contest, and here are the categories. Entries are closed as of January 31st 2011 12:00PM PST. Please send two to three photos of your entry. I have some contest prizes donated by StoneBridge Models, Techrepjapan, Slugger, and ZCS. I am still working on a few more prizes and once I do, I will randomly match the categories to the prizes.

1. Scratch Build
2. Kit Build
3. Kitbash
4. Layout
5. Module
6. Diorama
7. Weathering

For any further discussions, please use the opening contest thread. This thread will only be used for actual contest entries.

I know it's a busy time of the year- but I thought it would be good to get this Forum back on the home page. I'm not sure what I will enter as I have several projects underway.
So I'll start with Toot:

HI.
I do have somthing started, I guess I could make a diarama with what I have. I am waiting for some more figures to finish it. Since I am repainting and doing modifications to figures, it would be kitbashing, but if I put them in a base it would be a diarama...So do you want just pictures of the finished item or, the work in progress? I will throw one picture out here just to make things interesting.

That is fine Kelley. By the way, you can add another photo to your thread/contest entry just by going to the "Edit" button and adding another image. John

I´ll put in my Baseball field. It´s actually a module, but also could be a diorama.

Here's my entry, it's Scratch Build, a Cantilever Signal Bridge kit is in there, it is a layout, but can be taken out like a module (see bottom photo).

Sharing the roads between CN & CP's

Module into CD shelves.

John, those are my own shelf in my office, my layout circuit goes on two of my walls (2x12 feet long). Fortunately for me, what happens in my offices, stays in my office, so my wife does not have anything to say about it. :blink:

My Frau said the same thing when she seen the pictue. I really love how the hills form a vally and slope upward.

This will be my entry model. Don't know where it fits in. The tug is crashed and bashed from Joe's Tug. It has been "FRAMed" ( Fleet Rehabilitation And Modernization) Lengthened and flying bridge added.
The barge and deck crane are scratchbuilt, (not kit) and containers- store bought.

Ok, my turn to submit my entry. I am entering into the Kitbash Category with my U.S.N.X. Navy Helium car. This car was kitbashed from a MTL 40' standard boxcar, with the roof walk intact, while the middle part of the car cut out. I am off abit on my number decals, thought I had everything measured out.
