| 26-4 17:27:27 | GNFan | Hi, Jery. |
| 26-4 17:27:22 | soccrdad30 | Hello Jerry |
| 26-4 17:27:01 | rvn2001 | Hi Jerry. |
| 26-4 17:26:51 | Guba | Part fit is outstanding! |
| 26-4 17:25:51 | soccrdad30 | I have yet to get one |
| 26-4 17:24:13 | Guba | Yes, loved those kits! |
| 26-4 17:23:49 | soccrdad30 | I take it, the modern style from Archistories |
| 26-4 17:23:11 | Guba | All the track is connected, gotta start laying it on the mod |
| 26-4 17:22:24 | Guba | Single stall shed ordered |
| 26-4 17:22:09 | Guba | Built a water tower and double stall shed for it. |
| 26-4 17:21:35 | soccrdad30 | Joe, heck of a layout. I do like the planning |
| 26-4 17:21:15 | Guba | Yes, quint extra wide |
| 26-4 17:20:30 | rvn2001 | Joe, I saw your trackplan on the home page. Is that for your quint TTZ module? |
| 26-4 17:19:19 | soccrdad30 | definitely sounds like a man-cave |
| 26-4 17:19:18 | DAZed | I can't confirm, but I think the Burlington Route sign was a placard that came off of a covered hopper. |
| 26-4 17:18:30 | DAZed | John, yes! I have a 24" Burlington Route metal sign that is 60 years old that it will be joining. Next up is to find an equally old/large/cool BN sign to complete the trio. |
| 26-4 17:17:07 | soccrdad30 | Is it going into your train room Doug? |
| 26-4 17:16:53 | DAZed | but I'm cutting it down to 30x36 and adding some ribs on the vertical sides |
| 26-4 17:16:47 | rvn2001 | That sounds like a great idea, Doug! |
| 26-4 17:16:20 | DAZed | 36" square piece |
| 26-4 17:15:34 | soccrdad30 | this guy took a lose on this layout. $225.00 price included shipping |
| 26-4 17:15:30 | DAZed | I wanted to figure out a way to display it, and obviously being a sticker I could just stick it to the wall but then if I moved or wanted it somewhere else it would be no good. So I came up with an idea to display as if I had literally cut a section out of a bethgon coalporter. (which likely used a similar sticker) So I bought a 36" piece of aluminum from Home Depot and I'm using that to create a faux-Bethgon panel. |
| 26-4 17:14:48 | rvn2001 | I used an Xacto kinfe to separate the track from the ballast before using the putty knife. |
| 26-4 17:14:00 | soccrdad30 | I will recheck my Rokuhan track to make sure I have it all covered |
| 26-4 17:13:29 | soccrdad30 | I will think about that Thom, thanks for the advice |
| 26-4 17:13:08 | soccrdad30 | with a putty knife |
| 26-4 17:12:49 | rvn2001 | That track was Rokuhan and ballasted. |
| 26-4 17:12:33 | soccrdad30 | I remember that Doug |
| 26-4 17:12:08 | soccrdad30 | I was wondering about that Thom, I thought I would have to use an Xacto knife to cut out the track |
| 26-4 17:12:05 | DAZed | no model railroading for me, but I did start a train-related project yesterday. Some of you may recall that I won an auction at the FOBNR convention for some BNSF Circle Logo stickers....actual 3M Scotchlite stickers that BNSF used for Intermodal containers. One is 24" in diameter. |
| 26-4 17:11:23 | rvn2001 | I used a putty knife to remove the track on Ellen's layout. |
| 26-4 17:11:11 | soccrdad30 | and there is no ballasting, so no need to worry about that |
| 26-4 17:10:40 | rvn2001 | You might get lucky and it might just pop right off..... |
| 26-4 17:10:33 | soccrdad30 | the middle part just needs to have the foam bushes removed, that is the easy part |
| 26-4 17:09:51 | soccrdad30 | I like some challenges, but... |
| 26-4 17:09:36 | DAZed | Either way, it should be doable if you want to expand the trackplan. |
| 26-4 17:09:06 | GNFan | Hi, Joe. |
| 26-4 17:08:59 | DAZed | John, one concern I would have is if it pulled up chunks of foam when removing. I mean, anything can be fixed but that just make it more of a challenge. |
| 26-4 17:08:36 | soccrdad30 | yes it is |
| 26-4 17:08:21 | rvn2001 | Is that MTL track, John? |
| 26-4 17:08:02 | DAZed | hi Joe |
| 26-4 17:08:02 | Guba | Hi everyone |
| 26-4 17:07:45 | ejshelton | Hi Joe |
| 26-4 17:07:45 | soccrdad30 | Hello Joe |
| 26-4 17:07:31 | rvn2001 | Hi Joe. |
| 26-4 17:07:27 | soccrdad30 | yes, just pink foam |
| 26-4 17:07:13 | DAZed | what type of board it the layout build on....just foam? |
| 26-4 17:07:11 | soccrdad30 | ah, good to know, so keep it the way it is |
| 26-4 17:06:47 | DAZed | ok, that makes more sense then. |
