The 250 ton capacity Industrial Brownhoist wreck crane (otherwise known as a big hook crane) has haunted me my entire life. As a kid every time I’d watch a train go by at a railroad crossing I’d always wish and hope I’d see a big hook crane go by. It never happened. My wife and I went to the PA train museum this last year for my birthday trip so I could finally see one. There’s only a hand full of these left in the world and even less still in service. She’s rusty and seen better days. But I couldn’t have asked for a better birthday present then to see this historical piece of railroad equipment. I realize most would probably think she’s ugly but I think she’s quite beautiful...
